Cedar Pointe
Cedar Pointe is a CedarScape challenge circuit that turns lava-tag play into a nature-themed course. Cedar climbers, balance features, steppers and rope elements are laid out so children can move from one piece to the next without touching the ground. The layout covers about 1,590 sq ft with a perimeter of roughly 141 ft. It is made in Alberta from cedar with steel-core rope and built to CSA Z614. Adventure Junction | Nature Community Playground
A community playground designed primarily for lava-tag and grounders, but with a strong emphasis on nature-themed play, including a GFRC Log Tunnel, Log Steppers, and Cobble Boulder together with leaf steppers, a leaf roof and a brightly coloured butterfly. The 9-foot-high swingset rounds off the design with nearly every form of play - adventure, agility, sliding, swinging, hanging and climbing!

SteelCore DreamWeaver™
The SteelCore DreamWeaver™ 3, a modern multi-dimensional net climber designed and engineered by BDI Play Designs, includes 4 unique planar-net climbing events, two rock-climbing walls with a suspension bridge crossing between them, and two walls of suspended rubber climbing spheres for a unique challenge. This climber can be functionally linked to the rest of the playground allowing for interconnected grounders and lava-tag-friendly design layouts. The 'With Slide' configuration adds an enclosed stainless-steel tube slide that curves down from the top of the climber, offering children a quick exit after the climb.
CedarScape TimberCube
The CedarScape TimberCube is a 108"-high net climber framed in planed 8x8 cedar timbers with oversized decorative steel brackets. Children climb, crawl and weave through the 20 mm SteelCore nylon rope net inside the cube, choosing their own route up and across. The timbers are finished with a UV-resistant stain, and all hardware is stainless steel. It is made in Alberta and designed to CSA Z614. SteelCore Typhoon
The SteelCore Typhoon is a rotating rope climber. Its spinning rope frame carries hanging climbing panels and rubber climbing spheres, so children climb and balance while the whole structure turns. It is part of BDI's SteelCore rope systems, made in Alberta and built to CSA Z614. SteelCore rope has a steel core inside a nylon cover. The line is designed to last over 20 years, and nets are made in sections so a damaged part can be replaced on its own. The Typhoon is aimed at ages 5 to 12. CedarScape Swing Frame
The CedarScape Swing Frame is a cedar log swing frame with swivel hangers that accept standard commercial swing seat packages. Each bay holds up to two seats. It comes as a 1-bay frame (CS5555) or a 2-bay frame (CS2532). The logs are finished with a UV-resistant stain, and the frame is made in Alberta and designed to CSA Z614. The frame gives a swing set the same natural look as the rest of a CedarScape playground. CedarScape Teepee
The CedarScape Teepee is a 106"-high climber made of three angled cedar logs joined by a 20 mm SteelCore nylon rope web. Children can climb the ropes or the logs, find their own way to the top and back down, and use the space underneath for pretend play. The logs are 10 to 14 inches in diameter, finished with a UV-resistant stain, and joined with stainless steel hardware. It is made in Alberta and designed to CSA Z614. CedarScape TimberCafe
The CedarScape TimberCafe combines a rope climber with a café-themed play space. Children can climb the 20 mm steel-core nylon rope, then gather in the café area to serve, order and role-play together. The frame is built from UV-stained 8x8 cedar timbers with stainless steel hardware. It is made in Alberta and built to CSA Z614. Pairing climbing with pretend play gives the piece appeal for a wide range of children. It fits beside the TimberCube and other cedar pieces in a natural-look playground. Wave Catchers Duo
The Wave Catchers Duo brings a minimal, modern architectural look to a ninja or agility course. It is part of BDI's SteelCore line, made in Alberta and built to CSA Z614. It comes in three versions: Duo (SC5438), which pairs a junior and a senior piece; Junior Only (SC4545); and Senior Only (SC4544). A site can order the pair together or add just one piece to an existing course. It fits beside other SteelCore rope and agility pieces in a school or park playground. CedarScape Log Jam
The CedarScape Log Jam is a low balance feature made of cedar logs set at crossing angles. Children walk, step and balance from beam to beam, about 30 inches off the ground. The logs are 8 to 11 inches in diameter, finished with a UV-resistant stain and joined with stainless steel hardware. Rope elements use 20 mm SteelCore nylon rope. CedarScape Log Cabin
The CedarScape Log Cabin is a compact climber made of stacked, hewn cedar logs held with powder-coated steel brackets. Children step, climb and balance on the logs, and the cabin shape invites pretend play. The logs are finished with a UV-resistant stain. It is made in Alberta and built to CSA Z614. CedarScape Balance Beam
Crafted from a single hand-hewn cedar log roughly 10 inches in diameter and 8 feet long, this balance beam is countersunk slightly below finished grade so it sits low, stable, and flush with the surfacing around it. Children step heel-to-toe along its length, building core strength, coordination, and spatial awareness — a confident first challenge for early walkers and a warm-up for older climbers. Rounded ends and a ground-level profile make it easy to approach on its own, and a natural connector between larger CedarScape elements in a nature-themed play circuit.
SteelCore Flying Fin
The SteelCore Flying Fin (SC2552) is a freestanding playground net climber designed and engineered by BDI Play Designs in Alberta, Canada. A 16-foot-wide arch of 5-inch steel pipe leans at an angle to just over 9 feet high, strung with 20 mm steel-core playground rope in a radiating web around a central 3-foot stainless-steel ring. Kids have fun trying to keep their balance as they make their way across the angled net, or use it as a perch point to hang out with their friends, and several children can climb at once. The Flying Fin installs in-ground on concrete pilings and is designed to CSA Z614. Pair it with the SteelCore DreamWeaver™ or SteelCore Typhoon for a complete SteelCore rope-climbing zone.
Apex Rock & Rope
Apex Rock & Rope connects two Apex™ boulders with a rope bridge suspended under a steel arch. Children cross from one summit to the other, testing balance and confidence, and can climb the rocks themselves from several sides. The piece measures 60" high, 60" long and 48" wide. The boulders are cast in Alberta from glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC), and the assembly weighs about 6,000 lb. It meets CSA Z614. Apex Boulder
The Apex Boulder is a 6-foot climbing rock with realistic rock texture and several climbing routes. Children choose their own way up, which builds strength, problem solving and confidence. It is cast in Alberta from glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC), weighs about 2,835 lb and meets CSA Z614. GFRC holds up to weather and wear with little maintenance. Acadia Boulder
The Acadia Boulder is a mid-sized climbing rock, 4 feet wide, 4 feet high and 5'3" long. It works on its own or as a step between larger play features. Its realistic rock texture gives children several ways to climb and balance. It is cast in Alberta as part of BDI's StoneWood concrete play line and built to CSA Z614. StoneWood Tunnel
The StoneWood Tunnel looks like a fallen log. Children crawl through it, climb over it and use it as a hideout, and it adds a natural focal point to a nature-themed playground. It is 3 feet wide and 4 feet long and weighs about 1,300 lb. It is cast in Alberta from glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) with a realistic bark texture, and meets CSA Z614. Cobble™
Cobble™ is a small Apex™ boulder from BDI's StoneWood concrete play line, made in Alberta to CSA Z614. At 32" high, 36" long and 26" wide, it is sized to bridge the gap between lower platforms, climbers and other play features, or to be set in a group as a stepping path. It is cast from glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) and weighs about 700 lb, with a realistic rock texture that children can step on, climb and balance across. Because GFRC holds up to weather and wear, it suits nature-themed playgrounds that need a low-maintenance natural look. Stainless Steel Spiral Slide
The Stainless Steel Spiral Slide is a 9-foot-high enclosed tube slide from BDI's SteelCore line, built in Alberta to CSA Z614. The spiral wraps around a central post, so it gives a long, fast ride in a small footprint and stands out as a feature piece on any site. The slide bed and side walls are 16 ga stainless steel sheet, capped with 1" galvanized steel tubing. Support legs are 2-3/8" galvanized pipe, and the centre post and top support are 3-1/2" 8 ga galvanized tube. The platform fences combine square steel tube, galvanized pipe, 3/4" UV-stabilized HDPE side panels and aluminum accent plates. Rails, legs and fences are finished in a durable polyester powder coat. StoneWood Steppers
StoneWood Steppers look like tree stumps. Children jump, balance and step from one to the next, making up their own routes across a play area. They are cast in Alberta from glass-fibre-reinforced concrete (GFRC) and meet CSA Z614. They come in two sizes, 12" (SW2567) and 24" (SW2569), and can be set at different heights and spacings to adjust the challenge. Hexagon Steel Gazebo
Part of the BDI Steel Collection. The Hexagon Steel Gazebo gives parks, schools and community spaces a landmark gathering place with a classic six-sided roofline. Six powder-coated steel posts carry a 6:12 pitched hip roof that meets at a single peak, leaving the space underneath open on every side for picnic tables, seating, events and outdoor classes. The standard size is a 30 ft hexagon: the roof measures 35 ft 3 in across its corners and covers about 800 sq ft, with 7 ft 10 in of clearance at the eave and a 16 ft 1 in peak. The frame is HSS structural steel tubing finished in a super durable polyester powder coat, and the roof is 24 gauge structural steel W-panels with matching hip caps and fascia.
