Plastic Border Panel
The BP10 plastic border panel is a rotomolded border timber that holds loose-fill surfacing, such as engineered wood fibre or pea gravel, inside a playground's safety area. Each panel comes with 2 galvanized stakes that pin it to the ground. Blue Imp also offers the panel without pins, an adapter (BP09) and steel pins (BP08), so a border can be extended or repaired one panel at a time. Keeping loose fill at its full depth is what protects children from falls, and BDI also does surfacing top-ups. It is supplied by Blue Imp of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Stainless Steel Buttonhead Bolt
This stainless steel buttonhead bolt is a replacement fastener for Blue Imp play structures. It has a T45 drive, and blue thread locker is already applied so the bolt holds against vibration from play. Keep a few on hand for routine maintenance, or order them to replace bolts found loose or missing during a playground inspection. It is supplied by Blue Imp of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Resilient Wear Mats
Resilient Wear Mats go under swings and slides on engineered wood fibre (EWF) or wood mulch surfacing. In these high-wear spots the fill gets kicked out and a hole forms under the seat or slide exit. A mat set into the surface holds the area level and cuts down on raking. There are two versions: Swings/Slides (FS5113) for a standard swing or slide exit, and Saucer Swings (FS5114), a larger mat for the wider area under a saucer swing. Slide Hood
The Slide Hood is a cover that fits over the entry to a slide at the deck, framing the start of the slide and giving children a hand hold as they sit down. Pour-in-Place Patch Kit
The Pour-in-Place Patch Kit has what a maintenance crew needs to repair a small hole or worn spot in poured-in-place (PIP) rubber playground surfacing, without calling in a contractor. The standard kit contains SBR rubber granules, aromatic resin binder, solvent, rubber gloves, paper towel, a paintbrush and step-by-step installation instructions. An EPDM version swaps the SBR for coloured EPDM granules and the aromatic resin for an aliphatic resin, which holds its colour better in sunlight. The kit comes in a small and a large size. Patch kits ship across Canada and to the United States. Fixing small damage early keeps a hole from growing, keeps the surface safe for falls, and avoids a much larger resurfacing job later. 9/32" Hammerlock
The SP541 is a 9/32" galvanized hammerlock, the connector that joins swing chain to a hanger, a swing seat or other chain hardware. It locks closed once installed, and the galvanized finish resists rust outdoors. Hammerlocks wear at the contact points over years of swinging, so they are checked and replaced as part of a playground inspection. It is supplied by Blue Imp of Medicine Hat, Alberta. S-Hook (3/8")
The SP-535 is a 3/8" galvanized S-hook for connecting swing chain to hangers and seats. Once installed, the hook is closed tight so the chain cannot slip out, and the galvanized finish resists rust outdoors. S-hooks wear where the chain rubs, so they are checked on every playground inspection and replaced before the gap opens up. It is supplied by Blue Imp of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Set Screw
This stainless steel hex set screw is a replacement part for Blue Imp play equipment. Loctite is already applied to the threads, so the screw stays tight under the vibration of daily play without any extra steps during installation.
