Monkey Bars & Overhead Play Equipment
Overhead equipment builds upper-body and grip strength like nothing else on a playground, and it stays popular with the older children who tend to walk away from traditional play structures.
BDI Play Designs supplies monkey bars and overhead events in several formats: horizontal ladders in full and mini heights, overhead rings, track rides and hoop-to-hoop runs, turning bars, monkey boards, and cantilevered overhead hoops that can be added beside an existing structure.
Overhead events have their own safety rules. Fall height is measured from the grip, not the deck, so an overhead run usually needs deeper surfacing than the structure it sits beside, and the use zone extends well past each end. Reach height also matters: a mini horizontal ladder sized for a five-year-old is a different product from a youth agility run, and installing the wrong one is the most common reason an overhead event goes unused.

Giggle Galaxy: Medium-Sized Agility Layout
Giggle Galaxy is a medium-sized Blue Imp agility playground that links a main structure to several connected circuits and ground-level routes. A long overhead rope climber, a ring ladder, a flower-shaped net climber, a sunflower climbing panel and stepping pods keep kids moving, while a low double slide and a high single slide finish the routes. The layout covers about 2,729 sq ft. It is offered with 3.5" or 5" posts and with plastic or steel slides. It is made in Medicine Hat, Alberta, to CSA Z614. Coast to Coast
Coast to Coast is a Blue Imp agility circuit for ages 5 to 12. It has no decks or slides. It is a ground-level course of upper-body and balance challenges that children can run as a loop. The overhead section includes a ring trail, hanging steppers, rings and grab handles. Wave-shaped ladder walls, curved balance beams, a snake-style balance beam and spring-mounted steppers fill the ground course. A chain-hung swinging bridge sits at one end. Cascades
Cascades is a Blue Imp play structure for ages 5 to 12, focused on climbing. Its two Swerve Climbers are large curved panels with hand holds that wrap the sides of the structure. Two long wavy slides come down from the top decks. A curved ring climber, a ladder of loop rungs, an overhead rings trail and a set of climbing loops give children more ways up and across. Iceline Trek is a Blue Imp agility circuit for ages 5 to 12. It has no decks, roofs or slides. It is a course of ground-level and overhead challenges that children can move through as a loop. Lynx Loop
Lynx Loop is a compact Blue Imp agility circuit for ages 5 to 12, with an Annex H accessibility badge. It has no slides. It packs climbing, balance and upper-body challenges into a tight loop.
