The Piper is an 11-note marimba with coated fiberglass bars and an earthy, percussive tone that suits improvised, island-style rhythms. It is tuned to C major pentatonic.
It is designed as the partner of the Merry, whose metal bars give a bright contrast, and the two are part of the Weenotes Ensemble.
