The Manta Ray is a two-sided outdoor instrument shaped like the wings of a manta ray, with a soft, rippling, airy tone. Four mallets let two people play side by side.
Its flowing shape makes it as much a sculpture as an instrument, and it suits gardens, plazas and quiet corners of a park. It is part of the Sculptural Ensemble.
