McKay Park in Brooks, Alberta, was revitalized for the City of Brooks in 2023, with BDI Play Designs as the contractor for the playground, shelters and site work. BDI installed a Blue Imp U-Swing and other play equipment over pour-in-place rubber surfacing with ProFORM rubber edging, and put up Steel Canopy and SlantPeak shelters, including a 24 by 40 foot Steel Canopy picnic shelter on a concrete pad, framed in heavy-duty tubular steel with steel roof panels. The work also added asphalt basketball courts with Ultimate basketball goals, junior soccer goals, up to 1,200 feet of 8-foot asphalt pathway, a parking area, portable picnic tables, Stately benches and trash receptacles.
