Piikani Nation, Alberta
Aakom-Kiyii Health Services on Piikani Nation, Alberta, has a playground for children aged 18 months to 5 years, supplied and installed by BDI Play Designs in October 2023. The Blue Imp composite structure has a double steel slide, an accessible transfer station and a loop climber. Part of it sits on an existing concrete slab, so BDI used base plates there and welded a 60-foot steel channel base for the rest, then patched the rubber surfacing around the posts.
